About us

CAPGHAN is the Commonwealth professional and scientific association of paediatricians promoting knowledge and training in paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition.

CAPGHAN aims to promote knowledge and training in paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition throughout the Commonwealth, especially in resource-limited countries.

CAPGHAN fosters collaborative research in these fields and holds regular scientific meetings. It is a source of authoritative advice to national and international agencies, within the Commonwealth and globally, on all issues related to paediatric gastroenterology and hepatology. This includes the problems of childhood diarrhoea and malnutrition in low-resource countries.

We are part of the Federation of International Societies of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (FISPGHAN).
