Why Join CAPGHAN?

1. Be Part of a Global, Expert Network

As a CAPGHAN member, you join a Commonwealth-wide community of over 780 peers—from academic institutions, private practice, and regional hospitals—committed to advancing education, training, and research in paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition. You’ll connect with both emerging clinicians and established leaders, exchanging ideas that elevate child health outcomes.

2. Access Cutting-Edge Learning & Thought Leadership

Members enjoy priority access to CAPGHAN’s educational programmes—webinars, workshops, and scientific gatherings—focused on the latest advances in care. These platforms circulate news, publications, and expert insights across the Commonwealth.

3. Shape the Direction of CAPGHAN—Join Working Groups

Members can actively engage in shaping CAPGHAN’s future. Participate in Working Groups across education, training, governance, advocacy, and membership. Your voice and expertise help guide strategic decisions and make CAPGHAN a truly member-led organisation.

4. Influence Policy & Advocacy

CAPGHAN issues position statements, collaborates with WHO, UNICEF, and Commonwealth health bodies, and advocates on critical issues such as childhood malnutrition. Members contribute to, and amplify, these vital advocacy efforts to shape health outcomes across the region.

5. Expand Regional and Collaborative Reach

Through strengthened partnerships and collaborative initiatives—such as with the African Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ASPGHAN), FISPGHAN, BSPGHAN, and ISPGHAN—CAPGHAN connects members to a broad network of regional and international organisations. Membership opens doors to cross-border collaboration, shared research, and innovative practice.

6. Grow Professionally and Give Back

Through mentorship, observerships, conference presentations, and editorial contributions, members both develop professionally and contribute to the next generation’s growth—ensuring CAPGHAN’s sustainability and impact.
